Manchester United have not given up their pursuit of Jadon Sancho, with the Red Devils set to submit an improved bid which is still some distance from Borussia Dortmund’s evaluation of the English prodigy.
Sancho has been United’s main transfer target throughout the summer but despite their interest, the Manchester side have been rebuffed by Dortmund who refuse to budge on their £108 million asking price.
There were hopes that Dortmund’s stance would soften closer to the end of the window but that has not proved the case.
According to beIN sports correspondent, Tancredi Palmeri, United chiefs had offered up €90m (£82m), with a further €20m to take the total value of the transfer to €110m (£100m), still shy of Dortmund’s asking price.
Sancho has already agreed personal terms with United over a five-year deal worth £340,000-per-week, and agents fees have also been sorted out now.
According to reports, Ousmane Dembélé is another player interesting United but at the moment the Premier League club would only be prepared to take the France international on loan for a season.
Liverpool and Juventus have shown interest in the former Borussia Dortmund winger but he does not want to leave.
United have also been linked with Brazilian Douglas Costa and Gareth Bale before his eventual move back to Tottenham.
