Adama Traore is expected to snub Liverpool and Barcelona, two clubs that have reportedly been pursuing him, choosing instead to sign a new £100,000-a-week deal with Wolves.
The contract is set to make the Spanish winger one of the highest earners at Wolves, with Nuno Espirito Santo telling the media before Monday’s clash with Leeds that Traore was happy to stay at Molineux.
“Adama is delighted to be here. You can see how happy he was just for us to be together again. Things will happen naturally – speculation around our players doesn’t bother us. We know what we have to do. But first of all you must be happy where you are.”
According to reports, Traore has been on the radar of both Barca and Liverpool.
The winger is seen as an integral part of Nuno’s side, providing a constant threat on the flanks during Wolves’ campaign last year.
The former Barca youth player made his debut for Spain last week.
“I was delighted and really happy for Adama because he made his debut and he got a start which shows the progress and the impact he’s had.
“I was delighted with all of our internationals – Daniel Podence made his debut for Portugal and Conor Coady scored for England!” Nuno said.
