Chelsea outcast Raheem Sterling (31) is set to leave the club after his £325 000 a week contract, that was set to run until summer 2027, was torn up by mutual consent.
How much he will receive as a pay off from Chelsea has not been disclosed but this means the 82-cap England international will be a FREE agent and able to join another club, amid reported interest from Napoli, Bayern Munich and West Ham United.
Chelsea issued a statement saying “We thank Raheem for the contribution he made while a Chelsea player and wish him well for the next stage in his career.”
Its a sad end for someone who was the first player to arrive under the Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital ownership of the club in 2022.
