Liverpool have completed the signing of France international Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain in a blockbuster deal worth up to £123 million.
The 23-year-old has signed a five-year contract at Anfield after passing his medical, with Liverpool paying PSG a guaranteed £106m plus £17m in potential add-ons. The transfer remains subject to international clearance.
Barcola will wear the No.29 shirt and becomes the second-most expensive signing in Liverpool’s history, behind the £125m paid to Newcastle United for Alexander Isak last summer.
Barcola targets Premier League glory
Liverpool officially unveiled Barcola on Monday, ending one of the club’s longest-running transfer pursuits of the summer.
The winger made clear that winning the Premier League is among his biggest ambitions after completing his switch from Paris.
“It’s a great pride to be able to play for Liverpool. I’m very happy,” Barcola told Liverpool’s official website.
“It took a long time but I’m really happy today to be able to play for Liverpool and all I want is to be on the pitch and be able to play.
“I hope to achieve very big things. First of all, winning the Premier League – it’s one of my biggest dreams in my life.
“It is to do that and to stay in this team in the long term – that’s why I signed a long contract – and I hope I can do it.”
Barcola also revealed that experiencing Anfield as an opposition player had helped convince him to make the move.
“When I knew about Liverpool’s interest in me, I didn’t ask questions and I knew it was a very big club for me,” he said.
Liverpool finally break PSG resistance
The deal follows lengthy negotiations between Liverpool and PSG after the clubs initially remained far apart over the player’s valuation.
PSG had been seeking around £145m for Barcola earlier in the summer. Liverpool eventually secured an agreement at £106m guaranteed, with performance-related bonuses potentially pushing the package to £123m.

Barcola had emerged as Liverpool’s priority attacking target and wanted to move to Anfield.
His arrival represents another major addition to Andoni Iraola’s rebuilding project. Sky Sports identifies Barcola as Iraola’s third major summer signing following Victor Muñoz and Ronald Araujo, while Jérémy Jacquet also joined after his transfer had been agreed in January.
Liverpool’s focus on strengthening their wide attacking positions intensified following Mohamed Salah’s departure.
Barcola arrives with Champions League pedigree
Barcola leaves PSG after three trophy-laden seasons in the French capital.
He made 152 appearances for the club, scoring 39 goals and providing 35 assists after arriving from Lyon in August 2023.
The forward won three consecutive Ligue 1 titles and was part of the PSG sides that captured back-to-back Champions League trophies.
He has also established himself with France, earning 28 senior caps and scoring six goals. Three of those came at the 2026 World Cup as France finished fourth.
Barcola’s versatility was another attraction for Liverpool. Although predominantly deployed on the left wing, he can operate on either flank or through the middle.
His arrival completes a transfer Liverpool pursued throughout much of the summer and hands Iraola one of Europe’s most highly rated attacking players as the Reds reshape their frontline.
