Italian giants Juventus have made enquiries about the conditions of a potential deal for £40m rated Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.
The 27-year-old is one of five players who have expressed a desire to leave the club and explore new challenges.
The Red Devils value Rashford at £40m but his astronomical base salary worth £350,000-per-week and another £100,000-per-week in potential bonuses poses a potential stumbling block.
Juventus have been trying to get rid of striker Dusan Vlahovic and its believed their priority at centre-forward has been the return of Randal Kolo Muani.
If Vlahovic leaves the club, its thought the versatile Rashford is an option, as he can play on the left wing and central position if necessary.
Another club interested in Rashford is Barcelona although the Catalan club are yet to make a formal offer.
According to Spanish publication Marca Rashford prefers Barcelona and it remains to be seen which of the two giant clubs will make a move first.
“In recent hours, several market rumours have linked Marcus Rashford’s future with Italy, specifically Juventus, but the information we have is that Barcelona remains the favourites and ahead of the competition.
“The English striker firmly wants Barcelona and is pushing hard to move to Barcelona. One of Marcus Rashford’s allies is Hansi Flick, who has given his ‘OK’ to sign the Manchester United striker,” Marca said.
Juventus are also reported to be interested in Rashford’s Manchester United team mate Jadon Sancho.
After paying almost £28m (€32m) to sign Porto’s Francisco Conceicao, Juventus will have to sell players like Timothy Weah and Nico Gonzalez to fund a move for Sancho and Rashford.
