French forward Anthony Martial has officially parted ways with Mexican club Rayados after both parties agreed to terminate his contract by mutual consent.
The decision brings an early end to Martial’s spell with the Liga MX side and leaves the former Manchester United striker available on the free-agent market ahead of the new season.
Neither the player nor the club has publicly disclosed the reasons behind the agreement, but the separation was finalized amicably, allowing Martial to immediately begin exploring his next career move.
The 30-year-old arrived in Mexico seeking a fresh challenge after ending his long association with Manchester United, where he spent nearly a decade and won several major trophies, including the FA Cup, EFL Cup and UEFA Europa League.
Martial was once regarded as one of Europe’s brightest attacking talents following his high-profile move from Monaco to Manchester United in 2015. During his time at Old Trafford, he scored memorable goals and enjoyed several productive campaigns, although injuries and inconsistency hampered his progress in later years.
Now a free agent, the former France international is expected to attract interest from clubs across Europe and the Middle East.
