Liverpool’s hopes of signing Eduardo Camavinga have received a major lift after reports emerged that Real Madrid are willing to listen to offers for the French midfielder this summer.

The 23-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu following a frustrating period disrupted by injuries and reduced playing time. Liverpool are among several clubs monitoring the situation, with Manchester United and Chelsea also credited with an interest.

Camavinga has been regarded as one of Europe’s brightest midfield talents since joining Real Madrid from Rennes in 2021. During his time in Spain, he has won two La Liga titles and two Champions League trophies while establishing himself as a regular member of the France national team.

However, the midfielder’s standing has reportedly slipped over the past two seasons. Injury setbacks have limited his impact, while increased competition for places has restricted his opportunities in midfield. His absence from France’s squad for the 2026 World Cup further fuelled speculation about his future.

Reports in Spain suggest Real Madrid’s hierarchy are prepared to sanction a sale as the club continues reshaping its midfield. New manager Jose Mourinho is believed to be prioritising the recruitment of Chelsea and Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernandez, a move that could require Madrid to generate funds through player sales.

Camavinga has also reportedly seen his market value fall significantly over the last year, making him a more realistic target for Europe’s top clubs than previously thought.

Liverpool’s interest comes as the club look to strengthen under new manager Andoni Iraola. The Reds have already been linked with several midfielders this summer as they continue planning for the next phase of their squad rebuild.

Sources indicate that Camavinga’s representatives have explored potential opportunities away from Madrid and have held discussions with interested clubs. The midfielder is believed to be open to a new challenge if it offers a more prominent role and consistent playing time.

One factor working in Liverpool’s favour is the club’s ability to offer regular football in a highly competitive environment. The Premier League champions are expected to remain active in the transfer market as Iraola shapes the squad in his image.

Despite Real Madrid’s willingness to entertain offers, any deal is unlikely to come cheaply. Camavinga remains under contract until 2029 and is still viewed as one of the most talented midfielders of his generation.

For Liverpool, the opportunity to sign a player of Camavinga’s quality and experience at just 23 years old could prove too good to ignore. Whether the club formalise their interest remains to be seen, but the door to a transfer now appears more open than at any point since he arrived in Madrid.
