Napoli have identified Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile as a priority defensive target and are exploring a deal to bring the French centre-back to Serie A this summer.
According to Sky Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the Italian champions are keen to sign the 25-year-old on an initial loan, although discussions could include a conditional obligation to buy in an effort to satisfy Chelsea’s valuation.
Chelsea are expected to reshape their defence before the transfer window closes and Badiashile is among the players who could leave Stamford Bridge.
The Blues have several senior central defenders competing for places, with the club willing to listen to offers as they continue balancing the squad ahead of the new campaign.
