Arsenal are reportedly considering a huge €100million (£85million) offer for Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz as they attempt to beat Real Madrid to his signature.
Yildiz has developed into one of the most valuable young attackers in European football and is viewed as a potential long-term solution on the left side of Arsenal’s attack.
However, Juventus have repeatedly insisted their number 10 is not for sale and recently secured his future with a new contract running until June 2030.
Arsenal reportedly considering €100m offer
According to Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb, Arsenal are evaluating a €100million proposal for the 21-year-old Turkey international.
The report claims Arsenal previously made enquiries in June and August but were firmly rejected by Juventus.
No formal offer has been confirmed, and there is no indication that negotiations between the two clubs have begun.
Yildiz’s ability to operate as a left winger, second striker or attacking midfielder reportedly appeals to Mikel Arteta, who has reshaped his left-sided options.
Arsenal signed Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge during the summer, while Leandro Trossard departed and Gabriel Martinelli completed a permanent move to Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal.
Yildiz would provide competition for Tzolis and give Arsenal another player capable of creating chances and scoring from wide areas.
Juventus’ Champions League position could be crucial
Juventus officially extended Yildiz’s contract until 2030 in February and described him as an important part of the club’s long-term plans.
Chief executive Damien Comolli has also publicly stated that Juventus do not intend to sell him.
However, Corriere dello Sport reports that another failure to qualify for the Champions League could make a sale more realistic next summer.
Juventus are currently seventh in Serie A with 10 points from five matches, although the season remains at an early stage.
Missing out on Champions League football for a second successive campaign would reduce the club’s revenue and could force difficult transfer decisions.
Italian reports suggest Juventus would demand at least €100million before considering a sale. Such a fee would allow them to recruit multiple attacking players, although other reports maintain that Yildiz would remain untouchable even without Champions League qualification.
Real Madrid also monitoring Yildiz
Real Madrid have retained their interest after previously enquiring about the forward when Xabi Alonso was head coach.
The Spanish giants are reportedly monitoring his situation and could challenge Arsenal if Juventus soften their position ahead of the summer 2027 transfer window.
Yildiz is currently recovering from surgery on a fracture at the base of the fifth metatarsal in his left foot.
Juventus confirmed the operation was successful and the forward has begun his rehabilitation. He is expected to be sidelined for approximately three months.
Despite the injury, Juventus are reportedly planning another salary adjustment to discourage interest from Arsenal and Madrid.
For now, Yildiz remains committed to Juventus and protected by a long-term contract. Arsenal would need to submit an exceptional offer and persuade Juventus to reverse their public position to bring him to the Emirates.
