Real Madrid have reportedly ruled out selling Endrick despite frustration over his lack of playing time and interest from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
The Spanish giants continue to view the 20-year-old Brazilian as an important part of their future and have no intention of allowing him to leave permanently.
However, Real are prepared to consider proposals for a temporary move during the January transfer window, provided any agreement is a straight loan without an option or obligation to buy.
Real Madrid determined to retain control
According to TEAMtalk, Endrick’s representatives held planned talks with Real Madrid during the international break to discuss his increasingly difficult situation.
The forward’s camp reportedly made it clear that his limited involvement this season was unacceptable and that he needs regular first-team football to continue his development.
Real are understood to sympathise with those concerns but remain unwilling to surrender control of his long-term future.
Endrick has played only a handful of minutes for Madrid this season, finding himself behind Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, Arda Guler, Brahim Diaz and other attacking options.
His opportunities have also been affected by the arrivals of Bernardo Silva, Yan Diomande and Carlos Espi.
Endrick featured in all three of Brazil’s recent friendly matches against Australia and India, starting the opening game, providing an assist in the second and coming off the bench in the third.
He accumulated significantly more playing time for his country during the international break than he has for Real Madrid this season.
Arsenal and Tottenham face major obstacle
Arsenal and Tottenham are among several Premier League clubs credited with an interest in Endrick.
TEAMtalk previously reported that Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Aston Villa and Fulham had also made enquiries about his availability.
However, the Premier League clubs are said to prefer a transfer structure that would give them the opportunity to make the deal permanent.
Real Madrid’s insistence on a straight loan therefore represents a major obstacle, particularly for Arsenal and Tottenham, who would be developing a player without gaining any control over his future.
There has been no confirmation that either north London club has submitted a formal offer.
Endrick returned to Madrid during the summer following a productive six-month loan spell with Lyon. He had initially been determined to fight for his place, but the continued shortage of opportunities has reopened the possibility of another temporary departure.
AC Milan and Roma lead loan race
AC Milan and Roma are currently considered the leading contenders because both Italian clubs would reportedly accept Real Madrid’s preferred loan structure.
Roma came close to signing Endrick during the summer before Madrid coach Jose Mourinho intervened and asked the club to keep the striker.
Italian reports suggest Roma could revive their interest in January, while Milan have also identified Endrick as a possible attacking reinforcement.
The opportunity to play regularly in Serie A is understood to appeal to the Brazilian, although intermediaries continue to explore potential Premier League destinations.
Real Madrid have previously demonstrated their preference for retaining control of Endrick. His move to Lyon in December 2025 was also a straight loan running until the end of that season.
Unless Madrid change their position, Arsenal and Tottenham must decide whether a short-term loan is worthwhile. Milan and Roma currently appear better placed to secure his services when the January window opens.
