Arsenal have reportedly placed a £55million valuation on Viktor Gyökeres amid growing interest in the striker from clubs across Europe.
The Sweden international has fallen behind Kai Havertz in Mikel Arteta’s attacking pecking order and has played only 80 minutes of Premier League football this season.
According to Football Insider, Gyökeres could consider his options if his playing time does not improve, although Arsenal are reluctant to sanction his departure during the January transfer window.
A move next summer is currently viewed as more likely.
Arsenal want their £55m investment back
Arsenal signed Gyökeres from Sporting CP in 2025 for an initial £55m, with the overall deal potentially rising to £63.5m through add-ons.
The Gunners reportedly want to recover the full guaranteed fee if they agree to sell him within the next 12 months.
Arsenal believe a £55m valuation would not deter potential buyers, with clubs in England, Italy and Spain monitoring the 28-year-old’s situation.
However, the figure should not necessarily be interpreted as confirmation that Gyökeres has formally been placed on the transfer list.
Arteta wants to keep his squad together as Arsenal attempt to defend their Premier League title and compete for the Champions League and domestic cups.
The club would also prefer to identify a suitable replacement before allowing the forward to leave.

Gyökeres frustrated by limited playing time
Gyökeres scored 21 goals in all competitions during his first season at Arsenal, helping the Gunners win the Premier League and reach the Champions League final.
Despite that contribution, Arteta selected Havertz ahead of him for several important matches, including the Champions League final.
The German has remained the preferred centre-forward this season, leaving Gyökeres with limited opportunities in the league.
Reports suggest the former Sporting and Coventry City striker is frustrated by his reduced role and could give serious consideration to leaving next summer if the situation continues.
Earlier claims suggested he could push for a January exit, with Atlético Madrid among the possible destinations.
The latest report, however, indicates that Arsenal are unlikely to approve a mid-season departure unless they secure a replacement and receive an acceptable offer.
Gyökeres therefore appears set to remain at the Emirates Stadium for the remainder of the campaign, but his long-term future is increasingly uncertain.
His prospects could depend on whether Arteta gives him more Premier League opportunities during the coming months.
