West Ham United supporters have been given fresh reason to believe Jarrod Bowen could remain at the club after the England international took centre stage in the launch of the Hammers’ new home kit.
The club unveiled their 2026/27 strip on Thursday, with Bowen appearing as the first player in the promotional campaign. His prominent role immediately triggered optimism among fans, many of whom interpreted the move as a positive sign for the captain’s future following weeks of transfer speculation.
Relegation from the Premier League has led to uncertainty surrounding several of West Ham’s biggest names, with Bowen regularly linked with a summer departure. However, supporters flooded social media with messages suggesting the club would be unlikely to make the forward the face of its latest kit launch if an exit was imminent.
Not every supporter was convinced, though.
Some fans pointed out that kit launches have proved misleading in the past, recalling Gareth Bale’s appearance in Tottenham Hotspur’s 2013 promotional campaign shortly before his then world-record move to Real Madrid. Others focused on the return of the club’s previous badge on the shirt, questioning the timing after West Ham recently launched a supporter consultation over a redesigned crest.
Bowen’s future has become one of the biggest talking points of West Ham’s summer following the club’s relegation to the Championship.
Midfielder Mateus Fernandes has already completed a move to Tottenham Hotspur, while left-back El Hadji Malick Diouf has attracted interest from Manchester United. Dutch winger Crysencio Summerville also continues to be linked with several Premier League clubs.
Despite the ongoing rumours, there is growing confidence within West Ham that Bowen can be persuaded to remain at the London Stadium as the club prepares for its promotion push. Reports suggest senior figures believe they have a genuine opportunity to keep hold of their captain despite interest from elsewhere.
Bowen remains under contract and has become one of the club’s most influential players in recent seasons, making him a central figure in West Ham’s plans as they attempt to return to the Premier League at the first attempt.
Although appearing in a kit launch is no guarantee that a player will stay, Bowen’s involvement has certainly lifted spirits among supporters eager to see their captain lead the club into the new campaign.
