Liverpool have agreed a club record deal of £126m (150m Euros) for Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Florian Wirtz according to a report by respected transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.
“Verbal agreement in principle between Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen, deal worth up to €150m add-ons included for Florian Wirtz to become new Reds star,” Romana posted.
“All agreed on player side since two weeks ago… and finally all set also between clubs for Wirtz to move,” he added.
If the deal goes through it will the most expensive sale in Bundesliga history and the most expensive signing in the Premier League.
The German has an impressive 57 goals and 65 assists in 197 games and will now reunite with former teammate, Dutch right back Jeremie Frimpong, who also left Leverkusen for Liverpool in a £29.5m deal.
