Harry Kane’s contract situation is attracting growing attention across Europe, but Bayern Munich remain confident their star striker will extend his stay at the Allianz Arena despite interest from several elite clubs.

The England captain has just one year remaining on his current deal, prompting speculation over his long-term future. However, Bayern officials are understood to be optimistic that an agreement on a new contract is only a matter of time after months of discussions with the player’s representatives.

Kane has been in sensational form since joining Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023. The 32-year-old has scored an astonishing 146 goals in 147 appearances, helping the German giants complete a domestic league and cup double while also earning the Bundesliga Player of the Year award. He has carried that form onto the international stage with England at the FIFA World Cup.

Although Bayern expect Kane to remain in Munich, interest in the prolific striker has not disappeared.

Tottenham are among the clubs keeping a close eye on developments involving their former captain. Thanks to clauses included in Kane’s 2023 transfer to Germany, Spurs remain well informed about his contractual situation and could explore the possibility of bringing the club legend back to north London next summer if circumstances change.

Barcelona and Real Madrid have also reportedly sought updates on Kane’s availability, while Manchester United continue to admire the England skipper. Reports suggest United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe would be willing to back a move financially should an opportunity arise in the future.

Interest has also emerged from the Saudi Pro League, but Kane is understood to have little interest in moving to Saudi Arabia at this stage of his career. A switch to Major League Soccer is viewed as a more realistic option later in his career rather than an immediate destination.

Despite the growing list of admirers, Bayern remain relaxed over the situation.

Club president Herbert Hainer recently reiterated how highly Kane is valued, describing him as a key figure in Bayern’s long-term plans. He indicated there is mutual confidence between the club and the player that a contract extension will eventually be completed, even if negotiations continue into the season.

Bayern would ideally like fresh terms agreed before the start of the new campaign, although they are not expected to rush negotiations. Their priority is simply to avoid allowing Kane’s contract to enter its final months without clarity over his future.

For now, Bayern’s message remains unchanged: despite widespread interest from Europe and beyond, they fully expect Harry Kane to remain the focal point of their attack for years to come.
