Paris Saint-Germain are increasingly confident of winning the race for highly rated RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande after the player reaffirmed his desire to move to the French champions despite renewed interest from the Premier League.
Sources indicate that representatives of the Ivory Coast international have received fresh enquiries from Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City over the past week. However, all three clubs were reportedly given the same response, with Diomande remaining fully committed to joining PSG this summer.
The Ligue 1 giants are understood to be making significant progress in negotiations, with club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi personally overseeing talks with RB Leipzig. His strong relationship with Red Bull’s hierarchy is believed to have helped move discussions forward, and there is growing confidence that an agreement is now within reach.
PSG are prepared to pay around €110 million (£93.5 million) to secure one of Europe’s most sought-after young attackers. Leipzig have reportedly accepted internally that the 19-year-old is likely to complete a move to Paris before the transfer window closes.
Leipzig had previously explored the possibility of selling Diomande while allowing him to remain in Germany on loan for another season. However, PSG manager Luis Enrique is said to have rejected that proposal, insisting he wants the talented winger available immediately for the 2026/27 campaign.
Liverpool have remained the most persistent of Diomande’s English admirers and are understood to have maintained regular contact with the player’s camp in case negotiations with PSG break down. Arsenal also revived their interest after missing out on Morgan Rogers, while Manchester City have made it clear they would be prepared to act if the player’s position changed. Despite those efforts, Diomande’s preference has remained unchanged.
The transfer has also been complicated by Diomande’s recent change of representation. Discussions are continuing over aspects of his image rights following the switch in agents, although all parties involved reportedly remain confident the outstanding issues will be resolved without affecting the transfer.
With negotiations now entering their final stages, PSG remain firmly in pole position to complete one of the biggest deals of the summer transfer window. Unless there is a dramatic late twist, Diomande looks set to begin next season under Luis Enrique in Paris rather than in the Premier League.
