Cole Palmer inspired Chelsea to a 3-0 demolition of European champions PSG and win the first edition of the newly expanded Club World Cup in front of 81,118 people at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

The midfielder scored his brace before setting up new Chelsea signing Joao Pedro to score his third girl of the tournament since joining the club two weeks ago.

There was drama with PSG manager Luis Enrique appearing slap Chelsea forward Pedro in ugly post-match scenes.

In attendance at the final was US President Donald Trump, who sat alongside Fifa president Gianni Infantino.

After winning the Conference League in May, Chelsea have now added the Club World Cup something owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital will say proves their investment is bringing success to the team after years of chaotic signings.
